Yoga Sessions at The Syntopia

Yoga at The Syntopia is a mindful activity that will open your day in harmony with nature aligning your mind, body, and soul. It is a gentle Vinyasa outdoors session focusing on breath, movement, and meditation.

Because it is gentle yoga, the class is suitable even for those new to yoga: it has accessible poses and a slower pace than advanced yoga. But, of course, even advanced yoginis can participate and enjoy the calming, flowing sequence of movements that are less strenuous and more comfortable than their usual routines.

When you begin your day with a yoga session at The Syntopia, you will feel more balanced and centred, ready to face stressful situations with a positive outlook and energy. While yoga sessions also focus on movement, their primary purpose is to help quiet and strengthen the mind.

Since you spend time in nature, you will feel a spiritual connection with the elements and enjoy their health benefits:

  • Fill your lungs with the oxygen that improves blood circulation and heart health.
  • Let the sunshine kiss your skin to replenish you with all the vitamin D your body needs for the day.
  • Mental clarity and stress relief: focus on locking out unwanted noises and concentrate on your inner self.
  • Promote stress reduction and relaxation, which potentially reduce inflammation and boost the immune system. (Research)

The movements will also help you improve your posture and flexibility and strengthen and tone your muscles.

Yoga sessions at The Syntopia take place from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the tipi by the pool or at the Beach Bar Roulis. Both locations have a serene ambiance and offer optimal conditions to practice guided by an expert yogi.

If a yoga session at The Syntopia is not intense enough for you and you want an even deeper connection with Cretan nature, you can take your mat to practice anywhere you find a landscape that suits you. We recommend Kommos Beach, a favourite among yoga practitioners visiting the island. You can go for morning yoga or a blissful sunset yoga session that will fill your heart with glee.

Namaste!
